Sarah Urquhart
“The work I have been doing since 2000 include coaching, training and facilitating individuals and teams within business to work together more effectively.”
MY BACKGROUND
In my early 20s I was faced with the task of reducing people’s hours and making them redundant. This created a desire in me to work out how people “tick” and how I could work on my skills to help people to cope when they are faced with change that is not of their creation.
For the next 10 years I moved between various sales & marketing roles. In that time I was lucky to work for one or two great managers but I also had some significant opportunities to learn how not to manage people!
In 1999, having qualified in NLP, the topic of business coaching became a focus in the UK. I was a delegate on one of the first UK training courses to run and found that this was an excellent container for my skillset of developing people through using their own wisdom and advice.
Happily the benefits of coaching spread quickly and managers were introduced to a new resource to help them to manage experienced and high-performing members of their teams as well as being versatile enough to use to develop less experienced or even less motivated employees.
I have also continued my own development to help me to upskill other managers. I now have post graduate qualifications in Psychology, Facilitation and Coaching Supervision. For more information about what I do, please get in touch.
